  • Training takes place at 714 - 720 Green Lane, Dagenham, Essex RM8 1YX and is based on a roll on/roll off system.
  • The programme is designed to improve young people's chances of getting a job. It includes life and employability skills, work experience and a variety of activities and short courses. All learners are given the opportunity to gain a nationally recognised qualification.
  • Vocational areas include Motor Vehicle, Administration, Hairdressing, Retail, Warehousing.
  • Most learners are given the opportunity to gain work experience with local employers.
  • You must obtain a referral from your Connexions personal adviser. Applications accepted throughout the year.
  • There are no specific entry requirements but a young person must be able to benefit from the programme and have a good chance of progression to further training and/or employment at the end. Selection is by interview.

  • Training will vary depending on occupational area but most learners will attend Quest once every two weeks to work towards a technical certificate and key skills. Learners will be visited in the workplace by a Quest assessor every three/four weeks.
  • Vocational areas include Administration, Information Technology. Motor Vehicle, hairdressing, Retail, Customer Service, Warehousing, Management.
  • You can apply throughout the year via application form obtainable from Quest via the company website or from Connexions.
  • For hairdressing and motor vehicle, tools will be required.
  • You must have a reasonable level of literacy and numeracy to be considered for any vocational areas. Selection is by interview and, for some areas, a vocational assessment test.
  • Young people can only join the programme when a suitable employer is available.
