Want a Fresh Start?
E2E is an entry to level 1 programme on the work based learning route, for young people who have or are experiencing multiple barriers to
learning (including disaffection and disengagement) and have the capacity to work towards positive destinations. The aim of this programme
is to help to prepare these young people for progression to employment with training, employment, apprenticeships, or Further Education
and Training.
E2E may be the most appropriate pathway for young people aged 16-18 years in England, who are not participating in any form of post-16 learning, and
are not in employment, to enable their development towards a positive destination.
The Connexions Service plays an important role in assessing the appropriateness of young people for E2E programmes and referring them to
appropriate Work Based Learning Providers.
Work Based Learning Providers and other referral agencies may also identify young people who may be appropriate for E2E learning programmes.
E2E programmes are not time bound, and will be individually tailored to meet the needs of each individual. Some young people may need relatively
short periods of time on a programme, whereas other young people with more complex needs may require a longer programme to prepare them for
entry to employment or further education or training.
Summary
If you are 16 to 18 and are not in any type of post 16 learning you can join a scheme called E2E (Entry to Employment). E2E will let you progress
to an apprenticeship, further learning or a job. Find out more by: talking to your Connexions personal adviser, visiting your Connexions centre.
